Our cabin.

There were lots of cabins. 600 passengers.

Kompass room. Where we gathered to get off the ship.

Bus from dock to Kirkenes airport.

Walking on.

We are on the Vagn Viking.

All aboard Kirkenes to Oslo.

We have decided to share the role of handling kitty and of course tour leader responsibilities. As Suzie was in charge of Norway, I have looked after Norway kitty l, now handing over to Tracy for Sweden and I become tour leader.

A quote in flight mag. I also found some other great articles.

Next flight - Oslo to Stockholm - Farewell Norway and ready for Sweden.

New room - Hotel Tegnerlunden.

We arrived in no time got our cab - cos Trip It advised us that the cab was best bet, then onto town and new hotel. The accommodation Suzie had arranged were a pretty hard act to follow. Check in was fun, as we got the new trainee - some patience was required. Interestingly her nametag read Linne “New Talent” rather than in training. The rooms were pretty small, we could only afford single rooms. I was lucky and got a double - maybe the benefit of being the booker.
We were on level 1 and Linne sent us to the elevator. Up we went. Couldn’t find our rooms. Oops we are actually on ground level. Back down in tiny lift to ground. Suzie and Tracy in the single rooms are pretty tight. Their doors almost crash - interesting if they both leave at same time.

My room.

We reconvened in the bar for a well earned drink, purchased our Stockholm Passes and ventured out to find somewhere to eat.

I was taking no chances with my card this time, took a pic to be sure.

An old Volvo parked outside the hotel.

Here we are outside our home for the next few days.
We found a lovely little Italian place almost next door. We had a ten minute wait, so went home for a bit, then back for a lovely meal. I had pasta matriciana - it was good washed down with a lime San Pelligrino. I was sure I took a pic but don’t have one.
