Did a dumb thing this morning. Decided to wash my pants and shirt. And what’s dumb about that you may ask. Well after shower etc I realised I’d left my Oslo Pass in the pocket. It had fallen to pieces- bugger. Took it downstairs to see what could be done - we had purchased them at hotel resepsjon. They had no answers but promised to phone about it after 9.  Back to the room to do some blogging. Then down for our most awesome Oslo Thon Cecil Hotel breakfast.  Back to reception- they had phoned and emailed with no luck and suggested going to the Infornation Centre. This was in the opposite direction to our plans. So the remains of the ticket went into a zip lock bag.  That’s the remainder of my Oslo Pass.  And it’s envelope for safe keeping .  It should look like this!!!! Off we went to catch our Hop on Hop Off boat at the City Hall pier just down the end of our street.  After a bit of a hiccup waiting at wrong spot we just managed the 10.15. They let me off ...

17.9.18 Day 18. Malmö to Copenhagen

Up this am for a walk around the neighbourhood before breaky, then returned the car.  Hotel stairway .  Duxiana makes beds and mattresses. These models were in the stairwell.  Advertising bike.  Old telephone booth.  Doors to a loft.  Old building.  Thought this was a good omen for the Tigers, but not to be.  Sculptures on a ball.  One ugly guy yelling at the bird.  The bird with another sculpture behind  Fountain in the park.  Little did I know we’d be sailing under the bridge later.  Another manhole cover.  The umbrellas by daylight  Breakfast view.  The canal.  Last night we saw boat trips that you hire the electric boat and drive around the canals yourself. I booked it all online. We walked about 5 minutes from hotel to the jetty, picked a boat, started it using the app and then navigated around the canals with the app also. 18.9.18 Day 19 - Copenhagen-Walking Tour, Boat Tour

Up and away by 6.30 am to have a look around our neighbourhood before breakfast.  Sign says it all.  A pretty imposing building.  Sunrise over the canal and old buildings the tall grey one is our Airbnb  Home. The  open window 4 up and 2 across is my bedroom window.  Back home to meet others for breaky. Back to the real world today - no superb hotel breaky in the Airbnb, so off just a couple of metres to the local bakery Lagkagehuset. We had a coffee, chia Bircher muesli and cinnamon Danish. Quite nice.  Then our Urban Adventures walking tour with Mie.  Mie showed us the not top locations. A really great walking tour that included a danish and a coffee - both really good and a nice touch too.  A Danish slug…yes Suzie and I will photograph anything native.  The Cotadel which we walked around last night - this map shows the five pointed shape.  Christian the Fourth.
