21.9.18 - Day 22 Odense/Egeskov Castle

Had the best sleep last night. Some partying happening somewhere down a lane, but didn’t keep me up.  Another great breakfast and lunch made also.  Then out to the train station at 9.15 to head to today’s destination - Egeskov Castle. Our waitress at hotel warned us of the weather which is wind in the west that will come our way this afternoon. Tracy’s weather prediction is a little rain later on and lots tomorrow.  Waiting patiently for our train and discussing the need to press a button on the train for our stop.  A flag flying proudly in house backing onto the tracks.  Working in the paddocks.  Our train.  The windy walk out to Egeskov Castle.  Suzie and Tracy striding it out. 22.9.18 - Day 23. Odense to Copenhagen

Up and at em this morning, to make our way back to the train station to return to Copenhagen. Unfortunately, I buggered up, and convinced the other two, that the train in front of us, wasn't the right one...turned out it was, so we had to wait another hour or so...major oops!! Tracy and Suzie were very kind and didn't yell or scream. We dropped our luggage at our last hotel, and grabbed a cab for the Changing of the guard at the Royal Palace (the home of Mary and Frederik and family). We actually got caught BEHIND the guards, marching to the Castle. Our cabbie was brilliant and got us down a side street in time to see the action. Here we are waiting for the train, not sure if it's the first one or second one!     Into the cab and got a behind the scenes view of Guards marching to the Palace. They were making a getaway and we were worried we'd miss the changing of the guards. But...we made it, I snuck around the crowd, and was lucky to get a fron...

23.9.18 - Day 24. Departing Copenhagen for home via Singapore

The final pack is done. Breaky and goodbyes to Tracy who is leaving later in the day. Then bundle into cab for Airport.  Packed and ready to go. From the airplane.  Entree.  Main. IT was good, can't recall what it was.  Singapore from the air. Changi Airport, the Louis Vuitton entrance was ever changing. Really captured the attention. Jellyfish.  Many Hydrangea, in front of the hydrangea like sculpture.  Nice to have a lounge, shower, food, rest etc.  Then we are up, up and away again. Bound for Melbourne.  Was impressed with the bubbles in my drink. Or just plain bored.  Tasted better than it looked.  Sunrise on the way down the coast of Oz somewhere.  Melbourne, sun not risen yet.  NO idea where this was, I guess we've landed perhaps.  Home sweet home...someone was quite nonchalant about my return....
